Why would I use custom printed wallpaper?
By far the most obvious answer is that you don't need to constrained by someone else's idea of what you want.
Where the wallpaper needs to carry your branding or an advertising message, usually, the size, location and content will be unique to your wall. Custom printed wallpaper allows design flexibility that is only limited by your imagination and the size of your walls.
For decor installations, being able to absolutely define the the design and texture of your wall gives you freedom to select your preferred fittings and furnishings and match a feature wall to those choices - not the other way around. It opens a whole new interior design paradigm. Quality custom wallpaper allows you to customise the appearance, stock comes in a variety of materials, textures and application methods.
Sign City Plus has produced and installed hundreds of square metres of custom printed wallpaper in Port Macquarie. Our fully colour managed printers, wide gamut inks and extensive expertise guarantee an accurate, vivid design, our fully licenced master paperhanger delivers a flawless finish.

What are the choices if I want to cover a large area?
If you want to carry a design of some kind, there are really four main options:
1. Paint. The traditional method has problems of its own. The wall surface must be flat and without blemishes. Even a matte or satin finish paint will show up any surface irregularities. Cleaning, even with modern stain-repellant fomulations will result in "shiny" spots that become really obvious over time. With those caveats, paint is fine for a single colour or a texture finish but if your want to carry a design in paint then, it becomes more difficult.
2. Self-adhesive vinyl print. Probably the least attractive option for full wall coverage. Like paint, any irregularity in the wall will be noticeable, even with a matte laminate. Vinyl tends to shrink with age and cold weather, the very thin layer of adhesive offers little elasticity so the tendency is always for lifting and curling at the sheet edges or delaminating the underlying paint. Great for small areas but the larger the area, the larger the problem.
3. Panel mounted design. Freedom of visual design and without the surface preparation limitations of the above options. Panels mounted with laminated vinyl designs are durable and fast to install. If the edges of the vinyl are "wrapped" so that the design folds into the join, where the panels "butt up" can be unobtrusively joined. Where the design is printed directly onto the panel and not laminated it will develop cleaning "shiny" spots similar to paint. Joins in the design tend to be more obvious. The production technique and inks are not renowned for accurate or vibrant colour, a "muddy" colour cast is usual.
4. Custom printed wallpaper. Available in a wide range of textures and installation methods. Highly textured stock hides wall irregularities, a textured surface expands and contracts well with temperature change and age and if installed with wallpaper paste, the relatively greater thickness of the adhesive provides greater elasticity to largely eliminate edge curling. A textile backing adds further dimensional stability. When installed correctly, joins are functionally invisible. Printed colour can be much more accurate and vivid depending on the expertise and equipment of the printer. Design options are almost limitless.
